2021 ANNUAL NOTICE OF VALUE TO BE MAILED

Bastrop Central Appraisal District will begin mailing out appraisal notices Friday, April 16. The deadline for filing a notice of protest is May 15th or 30 days after the date mailed, which will be May 17th this year.

Our office is open to public with limited access to ensure the safety of the general public and the appraisal district employees. The mailing of appraisal notices historically results in a high volume of walk-in customers each year.

Property owners who wish to file a notice of protest are encouraged to file:

• On our website at www.bastropcad.org using the Online Protest portal
• By email – send a completed/signed protest form to protest@bastropcad.org  (When submitting a form or application by email, it must be legible and is preferred as a .pdf file.  Photo imagery of the form is not acceptable), or
• Leave a completed/signed protest form in the secure drop box located in front of our office at 212 Jackson St, Bastrop, Texas.

Informal hearings are scheduled to begin after April 26th.

Formal hearings before the Appraisal Review Board will begin after June 1st.

We expect our call volume to increase during this time. Staff members will return calls in the order they are received. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate uncharted waters.
